Young people making a big difference

Every year we take 4-7 young people aged 16-21 from the UK to Bulgaria to help run our summer camp. Every August these young people give Lipnitza's children the care and attention they really need yet so rarely receive.

It's amazing seeing what a difference a bit of affection and the chance to play can make. The UK youth team run workshops, games and singing sessions as well as looking after the kids as they play on the beach. There's room for young people to make use of all sorts of talents, from face painting to guitar playing and much more. But most of all it's a time when young people from the UK are able to help youngsters who have so little and have been through so much to feel valued and treasured.

For the disadvantaged children we take on holiday, respite from their very difficult backgrounds is so important and the young people from the UK play a huge part in making this possible.
